…shoreline… no crystal clear waters though… where has it gone?… well actually it’s still clear but with bits of algae…
I used to think of Boracay as something so perfect that it can only bring life and happiness to self as one walks on its white powdery sand… Now i see Boracay as a beautiful lady with a bad attitude… Only the conspicuous side is to be appreciated, behind all the glam lies the truth that nothing and no one could ever be perfect…
Boracay in its novelty to the “resort world” must have been the paradise every human being imagined of. Yet as more and more humans wanted to experience what paradise is like , Boracay has ever since slowly lost its paradise feel and gradually caves into hell for all living creatures.
While on my stay there, I occupied a room on a villa quite hidden from the view of the coast. It’s narrow that buildings rise up instead of spreading out… Structures aren’t fully finished and behind the firewalls lay garbage not segregated and not even properly disposed… Not so sure if it’s still the same now as of the moment I’m writing this but i have truly seen though haven’t taken a picture… Another area where I think should be considered is at one of the exits near the bake shop where a stench coming again from the garbage could definitely not miss your nose.
I’m not writing this to discourage people especially tourists from visiting Boracay, in fact i’m writing this so people may be aware of the things that could potentially destroy this paradise on earth..

…trying to build a sand castle… unfortunately, my sand castle was like already buried… =P hehe.. so much fun though…

…the sunrise on the other side of the island… we are patiently waiting for the sun to rise in front of us, it rose behind us.. haha…
Boracay is one amazing place all people of the world should not miss to see… And people should also realize that certain actions are necessary to be able to preserve the place… Not only for the tourists but also for all the people surrounding the place and the people and the next generation that will visit Boracay…well… enough of the negativities of the place and just enjoy the following pictures i’ll be posting and hopefully you reader
s and i can meet there in the future… =)
this post may not say something about how to get to Boracay and how much to spend for it, but believe me, the internet is already flooding with those.. haha.. so this is just some bits and pieces of what it would be like visiting the place… i surely do suggest that you visit the place yourself and experience all the glory it has to offer first hand… happy trip to the paradise of the Philippines guys!!… would love to hear about your trip.. =)
While the local government has the responsibility to take care of these garbage and other issues in Boracay, some establishments and tourists simply do not obey the ordinances. People, who are only after of the profits that they get from the booming tourism industry, even dare to construct buildings without any building permit. It’s sad, yes, to see this other side of Boracay — but most tourists don’t see these things. Only those who care about Boracay do.
..exactly..i’m glad to know you care too.. i’m still not discouraged to be in Boracay though.. I just simply enjoy the island and would like to enjoy it some more but with less of these issues.. it would be good to know that there is an existing effort to free Boracay from these and gradually bring back the Boracay that it used to be.. more of the paradise and less of the annihilation… =)
