..imeldamized mansion of grandeur…

…the welcoming view of Sto. Nino Shrine inside the Romuladez Mansion at Tacloban City, Leyte.. the people lining up are awaiting their turn for the listing of visitors..

…a closer look at the well adorned figure of Sto. Nino.. just take note to remove your shoe apparels when walking on the carpet.. some slippers are provided though…

..this is just one of the many 3D displays inside every room which is differently designed according to it’s motif… it’s lighted in a way to look like you’re looking out the window..

..the lobby’s lighted with these wall lamps.. notice the banig design on the wall giving a more native feel to the place..

..what you’ll see outside looking inside the room out to the lobby…

… one of the artworks to be found in the mansion.. mostly the artworks are depicting the grandeur of the owner…

..one of our favorite rooms in the mansion because of its classic Muslim design.. the gong on the head board is quite big and i somehow wondered what could happen if it falls off while you’re asleep.. hehe..

..the room caught our attention because of the shells used and the shell details found in the furnitures.. it has a feel of being like in a beach..

..i was checking out the jar and was trying to peek at the top most part of the jar because it has a hole but one of our colleagues said that something might pop out.. i was freaked out and didn’t look at the inside again.. hehe.. it has a dragon design..

..this word work is made up of three big slab of wood.. i really appreciate the work put into materializing this however, i still consider the number of trees cut down.. =P

..this used to be a fountain made out of corals.. yes, beautiful as it is to look at, i still again am thinking about the number of corals taken out of the sea just to form this fountain..

..the mansion holds many curious placed everywhere but i suggest to also look up.. this is the ceiling of the long dining hall..

..just one of those mini seating and meeting places around the mansion.. each one is arranged and designed differently.. a feast for the eyes for those looking for living room inspirations.. the colors and lightings are well thought of..

..this one’s placed outside one of the rooms which is not lighted.. kinda feeling creepy about it but took a picture anyway.. not so sure about what it is exactly yet it has an English feel about it.. and again with the jars.. =P

..one of the gigantic paintings found here.. it’s there majestically crafted family tree..

…want to feel like one of those powerful people of the Philippines? then take a seat in this presidential looking chair..

..for a more king/queen feel, take a seat in these chairs seemingly befitting that of a king and queen with the magnificent painting behind with a man and a woman holding a shell with the pearls made up of different heads and faces of the people.. it really is big and have that oceanic feel to it similar to the family tree.. the white strands could either be lightning bolts or ocean waves…

..the ballroom with a mega chandelier.. sitting under it is like sitting under the shade of a very big tree…

..the ballroom hall has some things on its sides as well.. this is one of those.. i really enjoy music so seeing a piano is a real treat.. it isn’t working well though.. but because of the age of the place, it’s understandable.. weird statuettes can be found almost everywhere.. just keep your eyes peered..

..Chinese things greatly catch our attention.. dunno who this is though.. but it’s so cool to have genuine Chinese figures.. close to life size at that.. the outfit, the beard, the clothes, the works.. =)

..yep differently adorned mini living room.. and paintings, well who owns the place has the most face.. hehe..

..Chinese inspired.. so i am too.. =)

..halfway through the long dining table adorned with these beautiful ancient eastern pieces…

..this harp is found inside the master’s bedroom.. it doesn’t have the complete strings yet a musical instrument’s still an instrument so i’m pulled..

..her bed.. the biggest one in the mansion.. look at how little the person standing next to it is..whoah!!

..this bathroom is huge.. it ahs a jacuzzi inside but we’re running our of time so just a glimpse is caught.. but it is still big.. just like a separate room in itself..

..for things are mostly big, this mosaic of the Virgin Mary can’t be missed.. despite the creepy feel in some of the rooms, the ground floor is still adorned with religious things.. consider the history of the place and the homeowner guys.. it somehow ought to feel that way.. =P

.. the outside look of the mansion.. it extends further but the lens might not be able to contain it all.. =P

..a wider view yet not fully covered.. =P

so here’s our look around the Romualdez Mansion.. it’s not only the things that’ll awaken your interest.. the history behind and the different feeling you’ll get in different rooms can also be embedded in you even after you have left the place.. i’m not saying it’s haunted but certain people are just sensitive enough.. anyway, the sights will surely fascinate you.. so take a step back in time and immerse yourself in the grandeur the Romualdez- Marcos family have lived.. tell me about your experiences guys.. waiting to hear things from you.. enjoy Philippines.. =)
